Monster Market is back in-person this year, as a one-week pop-up shop experience at Medicine Factory in Downtown Memphis!

We’ll be kicking things off with an Opening Party on Friday the 13th, and we’ll be open daily until Wednesday the 18th! This year’s shop will be stocked with art, home decor, apparel, plants, plushies, and one-of-a-kind treasures from an incredible roster of 70+ artists, designers, and creators! Monster Market is a curated pop-up shop, so we’ve already done the work of sniffing out the best and weirdest art around and sourcing it directly from artists!
We collect work from our Makers and arrange it into one big, bizarre, ultra-shoppable store for you to shop in October.

About the Venue

Medicine Factory | 85 Virginia Ave W | Downtown Memphis, TN

Monster Market 2023 will be taking place in the incredible multi-room gallery space at Medicine Factory! This gorgeous building was built in 1912 as the McConnon & Co Medicine Mfg. Medicine Factory. Nearly a century later, the Medicine Factory artspace was established in the building by 3 local Memphis artists as an experimental art gallery focusing on installation-based works. The first floor houses a massive gallery and event space, while the upper floor has art studios for working artists.

This heavy metal-themed small business from local baker Allie Trotter specializes in unexpected flavors inspired by her travels. has been with Monster Market since the very beginning!

This year, Whisks of Doom is bringing us TWO creepy in-store events— Join us for WAKE & BAKE on Sunday morning, October 15 for coffee + creepy pastries, and on our closing night, October 18 for savory snacks and goodbye cocktails!

Frame Corner

Open since 1975, Frame Corner has been professionally preserving art and memories for almost half a century!

The experts at Frame Corner are creating custom matte and framing combinations for a special selection of prints and original art from the 2023 Monster Market collection— which will all be on display in our pop-up shop! If you came to the 2022 Kick-Off Party, you already know how beautiful their framing is!

Creature Studio

Creature Studio is a brand new Memphis-based immersive studio building experiences in XR, or extended reality: a mix of AR (augmented reality, like Snapchat filters that use 3D elements), VR (virtual reality, like totally immersive environments you experience with a headset), and everything in between!

Creature Studio will be developing a custom AR experience for Monster Market 2023, for all of our attendees to interact with on their smartphones!

We invite a limited number of makers to participate each year based on their work’s quality, originality, and how it fits into the overall collection. Lookbook Sponsors | $200 | x 5 Available

As the Lookbook Sponsor, your sponsorship will pay for the production of our 2023 Monster Market Lookbook! Our annual lookbook is a catalog of styled photos featuring works from our collection, documenting the intersections between artists in the collection. They’re a big hit with both our customers who love seeing everything styled together before they shop, and also with our Makers, who have their work immortalized and printed! We’ll be releasing the 2023 Lookbook a few weeks before the shop opens to let folks window-shop and get excited. With your help, the lookbooks will also be printed by a local vendor and be distributed free of charge in the shop to our first 500 attendees!

In return for your generous donation, we’ll:
• Spotlight your business with an ad in our Lookbook— and we’ll take care of designing it too! We have 5 spots available— buy multiple for a larger ad!
• Spotlight your business with a dedicated post on our all of our socials (6k followers on Instagram!)

As the Venue Sponsor, you will be the star of our big blow-out Opening Night event! Your generous sponsorship will help us cover our major venue costs, which include the gallery rental fee, and paying our incredible staff (who are all usually volunteers!)— without which, we literally couldn’t make Monster Market happen!

In return for your generous donation, we’ll:
• Spotlight your business with a dedicated post on our all of our socials (6k followers on Instagram!)
• Feature your name or logo prominently at the Opening Night event!
• Thank you in all promotional materials leading up to the event!

We project 500+ attendees over the night for our Opening Night party— that’s a lot of eyes on your business!

Opening Night Food Sponsor | Snacks for 100-200 guests (x 2-4 Available)

We would love to partner up with a local restaurant, cafe, private kitchen, food truck, or up and coming chef who would be interested in whipping up some finger foods for our Opening Night celebration. As our Opening Night Food Sponsor, your generous donation will take care of catering for the evening!

Businesses or individuals can sponsor by donating snacks for approximately 100-200 guests for the evening from your food-related business. We’re looking for 2-4 food sponsors for Opening Night to feed 400 guests all together (or one very generous one who doesn’t want to share the spotlight!)

For your generous donation, we’ll:
• Feature your name or logo prominently at the Opening Night event!
• Thank you in all promotional materials leading up to the event!

Opening Night Bar Sponsor | Cocktails for ~200 guests (x 1 Available)

We would love to partner up with a local liquor store for our Opening Night celebration! As the Opening Night Bar Sponsor, your generous donation would furnish our bar with liquor for the evening, making you everyone’s favorite sponsor!

This sponsorship is available for cash or in-kind donation; Businesses or individuals can sponsor in-kind by donating approx. 200 cocktails or around $500 worth of liquor & mixers.
